How to play Football Impostor?
Football Impostor is a football trivia game by Futbol 11. In each round, you're given a specific category such as Played for Man United, Ballon d'Or Winners, or World Cup Winners. A group of football players appears around the prompt, and your job is to identify which ones match the category.
Your mission: select every correct footballer while avoiding the impostors. Get all the players right and you win. But if pick the wrong player, the one who doesn’t belong, you lose. It’s a quick, addictive way to challenge your memory of football players, clubs and the history.
For example: Let's say the category is "Played for Barcelona," and the screen displays Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Ronaldo, Rooney, Puyol, Pique, Casillas, Palmer and Van Persie. You must successfully select Messi, Xavi, Puyol, Pique and Iniesta. However, if you select someone like Cristiano Ronaldo, who has never played for Barcelona and is a clear impostor in this scenario, you fail the challenge.
Before you start, you can pick a difficulty that suits your football knowledge:
- Normal – Select all the right players in one go.
- One by One – Choose players one at a time; one slip on the impostor and it’s game over.
Every day presents a completely fresh new category and a new board of players to sort through.
Once you conquer the board, use the share button to copy your final score and challenge your friends to see who has the sharpest memory. Come back tomorrow for a new game, build your daily streak, and prove that you cannot be fooled by any impostor!
Note on categories: When a category specifies "Team Captains" (e.g., "Man Utd Captains"), it refers specifically to players that were first club captains for at least a season. Players who only served as stand-in or secondary captains for a few matches do not count.
