How to play Football Goltexto?
Football Goltexto is a football guessing game inspired by the original Contexto. Your goal is to find the secret football player.
How does it work? Each time you type and submit a player's name, our smart algorithm ranks your guess based on how similar that footballer is to the hidden target. This similarity score is calculated by cross-referencing multiple factors. These include their current team, playing positions on the pitch, leagues, age, nationality, and other details.
How the Scoring Works: An Example
Keep in mind that not all characteristics are weighted equally, some details bring you much closer to the target than others. For instance, imagine the secret player of the day is Harry Maguire.
If you guess players who have absolutely nothing in common with him, you will receive low, negative scores (e.g., Yamal at -49 or Lautaro MartÃnez at -52). If your guess shares just one or two minor traits, your score will improve slightly to hover around zero (e.g., Bremer, same position, at -2 or Raya, same league, at 0).
As you guess players with more significant overlapping traits, such as playing in the same league, sharing a position, or having the same nationality, your score will jump significantly (e.g., Foden, league & country, at 36 or Saliba, league & position, at 46). Finally, guessing teammates or compatriots who also share the exact same position will push your score to the very top, letting you know you are incredibly close to winning (e.g., Stones at 80, Lisandro MartÃnez at 82, or Shaw at 99).
After every guess, you will receive immediate visual feedback detailing how close you are to the right answer. You will see a specific score, the closer this number gets to 100, the more your guess matches the profile of the secret player!
Want to set your own difficulty? You can choose your max guesses before you play! Go for 10 or 20 tries if you love a good challenge, or bump it up to 100 for a relaxed, stress-free game. It's completely up to you!
