How to Play Football Connections?
Football Connections is a daily football trivia game from Futbol 11 designed to test your knowledge of player career paths, nationalities, and achievements. Your challenge is to group a grid of 16 footballers into 4 unique categories of four, based on a hidden shared connection.
To play, simply select 4 footballers that you believe share a common theme and click “Submit”. If your guess is correct, the category will be revealed and locked in. The themes can vary a lot, ranging from club history (e.g., "Played for Arsenal"), nationality (e.g., "Players from Spain"), to complex shared transfer paths (e.g., "Played for both Chelsea & Barcelona") or career milestones like "Champions League Winners".
Watch out for the traps! Just like a traditional word connection puzzle, some footballers might seemingly fit into multiple categories. You will need to use strategy and elimination to ensure each player lands in their one and only correct group.
Football Connections offers 3 distinct difficulty modes:
- Easy: Tailored for casual fans, featuring obvious connections like Real Madrid or Barcelona players.
- Normal: A solid challenge for true football fans. It introduces clever categories that require deeper knowledge, such as "Played for Porto", "Premier League Full-Backs", "Same First Name", or even prestigious awards like "Yashin Trophy Winners".
- Hard: The ultimate high-stakes test. It features the exact same challenging connections as Normal mode, but with a strict survival twist,you only have a maximum of 5 mistakes to solve the entire grid.
