Mastering Futbol Connections

Futbol Connections is our most challenging daily puzzle. It presents you with a grid of 16 items that must be sorted into four distinct groups of four based on a shared footballing link.

The Difficulty Spectrum

Not all connections are created equal. When you solve a group, it will be revealed in one of four colors representing the difficulty level:

• 🟨 Yellow: Straightforward groups (e.g., 'Teams in London').
• 🟩 Green: Specific facts (e.g., 'Players with 100+ Caps').
• 🟦 Blue: Tricky associations (e.g., 'Managers who won the Treble').
• 🟪 Purple: The hardest group, often involving wordplay or very obscure trivia.

The Art of the Red Herring

The game is designed to trick you! You might see five players who have played for Real Madrid, but only four of them belong to the specific category needed for the grid. The fifth player might belong to a different category entirely, such as 'Players who have won the Golden Boot'. Always scan the entire grid before making your first selection.
